DRAWING A CONTRAST BETWEEN MONOLINGUALISM AND MULTILINGUALISM with Emmanuel Amegavi Sosu, President, Français Pour Tous Au Ghana

It’s estimated that more than half of the world’s population is bilingual, according to Psychology Today. That means about 3.5 billion people use more than one language to communicate every day. Being bilingual, and especially multilingual, can help facilitate your travels. We live in an increasingly globalized world where many cultural subtleties can slip through the cracks as we’re trying to understand past each other’s different dialects. Allowing yourself to be immersed in another language means opening the door to an entirely new culture and way of viewing the world. Living in globalized and multicultural society, it has become critical more than ever that we have the ability and willingness to interact with many different kinds’ people. How do you worship God when the circumstances surrounding you are too difficult? Difficult times are unavoidable and will eventually come. How will you respond when it does come? Will you complain or lift up your hands, surrender and worship God? We know in the book of Job that he was tested to the core. In one day, he lost everything that mattered to him. In Job 1:20-22, we see how he responds to his circumstances. In verse 20 it says, "Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head and fell on the ground and worshiped.” All that he lost was later restored with more in the fold.
Should you worship during the good times only? The ultimate test of one’s faith is what we do during challenging times.
